About Us
"A Partnership of Landscape Professionals"
Established in 1983, the objective of the Landscape Inspectors Association of Florida has been to set standards for its professional members and provide education to the public involved in the industry.
Professionalism: On a daily basis our members are responsible for:
- Landscape inspections
- Landscape ordinance management
- Landscape and site plan review
- Insuring proper tree care
- Compliance with Florida Department of Plant Industries’ Grades and Standards for plant material
We are typically involved with projects from their conceptual design to final installation to long term maintenance. We continue to educate and learn as a project matures.
Education: As our industry continues to blossom we continue to teach. Our members educate:
- Home and property owners on the importance of quality landscape and tree management
- Arborists and tree trimmers on state-of-the-art tree maintenance, preservation and protection techniques
- Nursery professionals on the importance of producing quality plant material and meeting acceptable standards
- Landscape contractors on proper installation techniques
The Landscape Inspectors Association of Florida proudly sponsors seminars on many industry related subjects as well as provides a Certification Program to our members.

Mission Statement
LIAF's mission is to train, certify and provide peer networking for landscape professionals in order to promote Best Management Practices within Florida's green industry.
